An empty corner store
We need to film inside a corner store/convenience store in or near Brisbane, but its shelves need to be mostly bare of stock as supplies have dwindled in our story. This may make it difficult to use a functioning corner store - besides taking over the store to move cast, crew and equipment in for two days, the store owner probably would not appreciate having their shelves emptied of all stock. So we are looking for a disused corner store, or something that could pass as a corner store with the addition of some shelving and minimal set dressing, or a very understanding store owner.

About Cough
Civil Liberties are yesterday.
Daily life is torn in half when a dangerous flu becomes a pandemic. The infected are ruthlessly segregated from the healthy by the government. No one knows what happens to them.
With society falling apart by the hour, a corner store shopkeeper contends with an unprecedented crisis of his own: his infected fiancé hidden out the back, and a cantankerous old customer who won't leave.
Cough will be a dramatic 10 minute short film, the third produced by the award winning Yarnmaker team. It will explore how quickly society as we know it could run off the rails, and how easily we could lose hard won liberties.
